Currently: Professional storyteller nationwide since 1982, overseas since 1993 (Japan, Egypt, Singapore, Hong Kong, Macau, England). Education consultant, freelance author, and singer/songwriter.  

Education: B.A. (biology) Wellesley College 1965; Ph.D. (botany) University of Wisconsin 1970.

Awards: John Henry Faulk Award (2009 Tejas Storytelling Assoc); South Central Leadership Award  (National Storytelling Network 2005); International StoryBridge Award (with Hiroko Fujita: NSN 2003): Pegasus Award for exceptional value of a story teaching aid (for Stories to Play With).
